Deliver in stages. Track every stage. Get paid for every stage.

Growkit's phase-wise delivery tracking treats every delivery batch as its own independent unit — with its own status, proof documents, GST invoice, and payment status. No more tracking partial deliveries in a spreadsheet.

Why manufacturing deliveries happen in phases

Most custom production jobs in Indian manufacturing don't ship in one go. A 1000-unit order might deliver 300 units first, then 400, then 300 — over several weeks or months. The buyer needs goods progressively. The seller needs cash progressively. This is the reality of B2B manufacturing, and most existing tools (Tally, Excel, WhatsApp) are not built for it. They assume one order = one delivery = one invoice. Growkit is built specifically for the multi-phase reality.

How phase-wise tracking works in Growkit

Each phase of delivery is a Consignment in Growkit. A consignment is created independently when a batch is ready — not planned in advance as a rigid schedule. As each consignment moves through dispatch and delivery, Growkit tracks it separately. The buyer sees all phases on their portal.

Delivery and payment are tracked independently

The biggest problem with tracking phased deliveries on WhatsApp is that delivery status and payment status get mixed together in the same conversation thread. In Growkit, delivery status and payment status are two separate, independent tracks per consignment. You always know: has this batch been delivered? Has this batch been paid for? These are two different answers.

A batch can be physically delivered but the invoice hasn't been raised yet. A buyer might pre-pay for a batch before dispatch. An advance payment from the start of the job gets credited against a later phase. All of these scenarios are handled correctly because the two tracks are independent.

Every delivery phase has its own proof trail

When you dispatch a phase, attach the proof directly to that consignment in Growkit — the Lorry Receipt number, courier AWB, or a photo of the goods leaving your facility. The buyer sees the proof on their portal next to that specific phase. When the buyer confirms receipt, that phase is marked Delivered from their side. Every action is timestamped — creating a complete audit trail for every delivery phase.

  • LR (Lorry Receipt) number
  • Courier AWB (Air Waybill) number
  • E-way bill reference
  • Photo of goods at dispatch
  • PDF delivery receipt

Each delivery phase gets its own GST invoice

Under Indian GST, you must raise a tax invoice at the time of supply — which for goods means at or before dispatch. You don't wait until all phases are delivered to raise one combined invoice. In Growkit, when you mark a consignment's payment status as Requested, a GST tax invoice is generated for that phase's value. Each phase invoice has its own sequential invoice number, correct GST calculation, and payment link.

Frequently asked questions

Can I track deliveries from multiple locations for one job?

Yes. Each consignment can specify a different dispatch location. If you're shipping Phase 1 from your Delhi warehouse and Phase 2 from your Pune facility, you can note this on each consignment separately.

What if a delivery is partially received? The buyer says only 250 of 300 units arrived.

Create the consignment for 300 units as dispatched. When the shortfall is confirmed, you can create a new consignment for the 50 missing units as a separate phase, or record the dispute in the consignment notes.

Can I create all delivery phases upfront as a schedule?

You can plan phases in the Production Plan (as forecast items), but real consignments are created when production is actually ready — not as a rigid upfront schedule. This is intentional: manufacturing schedules change, and Growkit tracks what actually happened, not what was planned.

How do I see the total outstanding across all phases of all jobs?

The Consignments dashboard in Growkit shows all consignments across all job cards — filterable by delivery status and payment status. The total outstanding payment is shown as a summary figure at the top of the page.
